Transition Your Wardrobe into Fall with a Denim Jacket

Because you just can’t go wrong with a good jean jacket. I own several different jean jackets and I’ll tell you what – most of them I’ve had for years and I continue to wear them each season. A jean jacket is the perfect item to help transition your wardrobe right into those cooler fall months ahead. When I lived in San Diego I would even wear them throughout the winter, but I have a feeling here in Ohio I’ll have to layer it under some sort of a parka if I want to stay warm!

I rounded up some of my favorite jean jackets right now, all under $100 with one exception that is $128 – I had to add it because I really think you guys will love it. You can shop my picks in the slideshow above!

Here are a few ways to style your jean jacket this fall:

  • Throw it over a summer dress – and if it’s too cool out you can always add tights and booties!
  • I love pairing a denim jacket with leather pants, leggings, or skirts. I have these faux leather leggings and wear them at least 3x a week. They are a bit of a splurge but honestly they are so worth it. Wear a lightweight top (like a simple tee or a slinky cami) with this look to help balance it out.
  • Wear your denim jacket with more denim! Sometimes referred to as the Canadian Tuxedo – I love a denim on demin look and anyone can pull this off. The key to this is to OWN the look. You gotta feel good in it or else you won’t look or feel comfortable. I recommend styling similar but not exact tones of denim together. Try throwing the denim jacket over your shoulders if you don’t want to fully commit.

I hope you see one above that fits your style!
