Dreaming of Spring in Leopard Print

Since it’s an ACTUAL crisp 13 degrees outside right now I thought I would take it back to warmer days. These photos are from my trip to San Diego last month and being snowed in has me daydreaming about warmer weather. When I look at these photos it seems like SO much time has passed, but its actually only been a month! I guess the holidays will do that to you. I shared this leopard print romper on Instagram during my trip but have been meaning to do a blog post talking about animal print for you guys.

My romper is from Vici but sadly sold out… shop similar items and the rest of my look below:

We all know that animal print came back strong for the fall/winter seasons of 2018 (see my trend forecast back in August 2018), and you guessed it – it’s not going anywhere in 2019. I for one, am especially excited to style this print for spring. I’m thinking these leopard print dress pants paired with sock booties, a bodysuit, and a bunch of layered necklaces. Also, how cute are these leopard print biker shorts?! They’re making me want to join a spin class JUST so I can wear them.

Another way to rock this trend but not feel so ‘loud’ if you will is to find a simple blouse with the print. This way you can put a blazer or jacket over it if you don’t want to go ALL in with the leopard print. Something like this red one or even this velvet one (both on sale) would be perfect for this look or try this crewneck leopard sweater for a super simple take on the style.

So, just to recap a couple of things;

1) leopard print isn’t going anywhere in 2019. So buy now, and wear all year.

2) If you don’t want to go ALL IN with the print, try wearing a leopard print top or cami and throwing a blazer or moto jacket over top.

3) If you want to try the trend but not completely sold you can start off with accessories like this head scarf or even throw this leopard print scarf on over an all-black ensemble.
