Denim Mini + Bomber Jacket

Happy Friday loves! Sorry I’ve been a little MIA on the blog – my son and I took a quick trip back to San Diego last week because we missed it so much hehe. So now we’ve just been playing catch up on life this week. Going back to San Diego definitely brought up a lot of emotions considering we’ve only been gone for about 2.5 months, but one thing I can say is that home is really where your heart is. And although I left a piece of my heart in San Diego I’ve been busy laying a foundation for myself and my family here in Cleveland and it has quickly become a place I am happy to call home.

I am also trying to mentally prepare for the upcoming fall and winter months. I’ve started buying light jackets for fall like this one I am wearing here from Zara. This jacket is so me – I couldn’t resist as soon as I saw it. Do you ever feel that way about something? It just fits your personality and style so much and you know it the moment you see it. They also had a really cute dress in the same print.

The rest of my outfit is made up of items I’ve had in my closet and have been repeating now for awhile. My t-shirt is from Madewell and I just tied it up in a little knot – I’ve been doing this with a lot of my shirts this summer. I found this really cute one that already has the knot tied in it for you as well. And my skirt is actually about 2 years old from F21 lol – but I did link a really similar one they still have in stock. I know I’ve said it so much before but even though I am a fashion blogger and am constantly buying and receiving new clothing I just love having those staples in my closet that I know I can reach for no matter what.

I left Toronto after I got married and it was so hard for me. Returning is always very overwhelming and wonderful but always hard to leave again. I hope your enjoying your new home!

it’s really hard to have a new home somewhere else where your hometown has always taking part of your heart, I can feel you. I went back to my hometown once in 5 years and it’s always amazing to visit it again. x
    have a lovely day!
