Surprise, Surprise! I was sweating my bum off in this outfit today. I figured, well since it
is January I might be able to get away with wearing a crop turtleneck and pants. In fact I thought I would even be a bit chilly, but the weather gods didn’t have that in store for me today. Another sunny, beautiful, day and how can you help not to smile? The sunshine definitely keeps me happy!
I ordered these pants & their matching peplum top back in October but lately have been having a bit of fun pairing them with different tops such as this Reformation crop turtleneck. Although I usually don’t wear a lot of prints (I tend to stick to solids, black and white mostly), I enjoy a good stripe/floral combo every once in a while.

Somehow it’s already Wednesday guys! Hump day…already. I love short weeks. Hope you all had an awesome 4th. We spent ours at the beach – can’t keep me away for too long. It was the 50th anniversary of the Ocean Beach pier being built so I felt like that made it just a tad bit more special. I can’t believe summer is about halfway over. How does that even happen? I thought it just started. Eh, anyhow. On another note, I am absolutely in LOVE with this linen top from Aussie brand Eva’s Sunday.
Sometimes I wonder how I ever managed the freezing temps in the midwest. I think this day it was in the mid 60’s in sunny San Diego and I was literally freeeeezing. Okay maybe not freezing, but you know…really really cold.
Stripes on repeat. I have always had a love affair with stripes and it is kinda stronger than ever right now.
Finally starting to feel like fall here in sunny San Diego! It was absolutely beautiful this past weekend, a little rain here & there but other than that a beautiful cool breeze and some sun sneaking through the clouds. Made me want to run to the closest store, buy pumpkins & spray paint them white & silver (planning on doing that this week!).
