Three Closet Staples You Need | Levi’s, Leopard, and Lace

When you don’t know what to wear I’ve always found it best to revert back to what you know and love – to a point that is. Now, if you’re going out for cocktails with your girls and what you know and love is your house robe and slippers, then by all means maybe you need a night in. What I mean is, take it back to the basics. As you may have seen me state over on Instagram, there are three closet staples I’ll never get sick of; Levi’s, lace camisoles, and leopard print. And listen, I know I’ve been making a strong case for these jeans for well over a year now but I guess that should tell you something. I own the same style in three washes and could definitely make room in my closet for more. Feel free to DM me or comment with sizing questions. read more

Holiday Style My Way

holiday outfit idea

I wanted to share this with you as a Holiday outfit idea. I know it’s probably not what you are used to seeing for ‘holiday style’ as most people are sharing cute holiday dresses or jumpsuits. However, when I think about what I’m wearing to holiday dinners or holiday related meet ups with my girlfriends – it’s usually something a little more like this. I love pairing luxe fabrics like this velvet shirt with thick vintage looking denim (these are the levi’s 501 skinny and I’m also wearing them here). Even a silk cami and fuzzy bomber jacket would give the same effect. read more

Floral Dress with a Leather Jacket

If there is one thing about me and fashion it’s that I don’t really like to follow the ‘fashion rules’ so to speak. I mean, I feel like they were just meant to be broken anyhow. My moto is – wear what FEELS good to you at that time and you can’t go wrong. If you feel good in something and confident about your outfit choice then it really doesn’t matter if it’s ‘on-trend’ or ‘in-season’.

With that being said, one of the things I love doing is wearing floral prints in fall. It lightens the mood a little bit and makes things feel more cheerful and a lot less gray. For this look I wore my floral dress with a leather jacket and studded booties (see how I wore floral with a fuzzy coat a few years ago) to give the look more of a fall vibe. Wearing florals in the fall/winter months is also a great way to make use out of your wardrobe year round as this dress will take you right into spring and summer! read more
