Statement jackets are to fall like a good pair of sunglasses are to summer. WAIT – Who am I kidding? A good pair of sunglasses are kind of necessary year-round. No? I just love a good statement coat though. That and boots are my favorite things to buy for fall. Here is San Diego I can get by with a coat that is not made to withstand the polar vortex so we can have a little bit of fun with it. I am sure all of you southern California babes can relate though – it does get pretty chilly here in the winter months. More than most people might expect. new2Wow, what a month! My little guy turned 1 month old last week and I can’t believe how fast time has gone. Before I blink he will be 1 year old! I never imagined that becoming a mother could fill your heart with SO much LOVE for one little human being! It definitely changes you in ways I could have never imagined – all for the good!

We have been having a LOT of rain here in SoCal so when the sun came out yesterday I jumped at the opportunity to take a little walk (and take some photos not gonna lie haha!). Fact: I will always love stripes {regardless of how prego I am} and OTK boots are pretty much the best invention ever. I’ve been known to purchase one too many striped items – from turtlenecks and dresses to beanies and socks. I do not discriminate against a good stripe. However, I do tend to gravitate more towards a thin stripe rather than a big chunky stripe – but you get my point. I love ’em! This dress is from a brand I recently came across – LEGOE. An Australian label which is more of a lifestyle brand rather than a maternity brand – their clothes are made to fit pre-baby, post-baby, and all that in between. Who else is SO excited it is Friday?! I have plans to relax at home alll weekend long and I can’t wait! If you can’t tell I am kind of obsessed with OTK boots and little dresses lately! It is honestly one of the most comfortable ways to dress right now! These boots are the Stuart Weitzman ‘lowland’ – definitely pricey but well worth the investment in my opinion.
