Slip Skirt + Chunky Knit

I’m sure a lot of you have seen that slip dresses and slip skirts have been making a major comeback as of recently. I just keep thinking back to my high school days when I had a black paisley print slip skirt from The Limited. Loved that thing. Although I definitely styled it a bit different back then.

My current favorite way to style a slip skirt is with a chunky knit on top, somewhat tucked it (I prefer just a little half tuck), and styled with either booties or sneakers. I think this outfit would be so cute with sneakers and a Moto jacket thrown over for a casual but still stylish weekend look. You could even swap the sweater out for a plain white t-shirt! So many options here. read more

Winter Style | Metallic Puffer Coat

Happy Monday babes! There is just something about a pom-pom beanie and this metallic puffer coat that make me happy during the winter months. We finally got some real snow here in Cleveland over the weekend – and let me tell you, it was BEAUTIFUL. On Sunday the sun was shining so we took a little trip down to the Brecksville Nature Center to hand-feed the chickadee birds. It’s so cute, they give you bird seed and you just hold out your hand and wait. I had a little bird eat from my hand twice! It’s a fun activity to do with the family as they have kids crafts inside as well. read more

Holiday Style My Way

holiday outfit idea

I wanted to share this with you as a Holiday outfit idea. I know it’s probably not what you are used to seeing for ‘holiday style’ as most people are sharing cute holiday dresses or jumpsuits. However, when I think about what I’m wearing to holiday dinners or holiday related meet ups with my girlfriends – it’s usually something a little more like this. I love pairing luxe fabrics like this velvet shirt with thick vintage looking denim (these are the levi’s 501 skinny and I’m also wearing them here). Even a silk cami and fuzzy bomber jacket would give the same effect. read more

Floral Dress with a Leather Jacket

floral-dress-with-moto-jacket-and-studded-booties

If there is one thing about me and fashion it’s that I don’t really like to follow the ‘fashion rules’ so to speak. I mean, I feel like they were just meant to be broken anyhow. My moto is – wear what FEELS good to you at that time and you can’t go wrong. If you feel good in something and confident about your outfit choice then it really doesn’t matter if it’s ‘on-trend’ or ‘in-season’.

With that being said, one of the things I love doing is wearing floral prints in fall. It lightens the mood a little bit and makes things feel more cheerful and a lot less gray. For this look I wore my floral dress with a leather jacket and studded booties (see how I wore floral with a fuzzy coat a few years ago) to give the look more of a fall vibe. Wearing florals in the fall/winter months is also a great way to make use out of your wardrobe year round as this dress will take you right into spring and summer! read more
