Hi, hi guys! It’s Black Friday weekend! I broke it down to a few categories below for you to shop. For clothing I did over the knee boots, flat styles and heeled styles. I am super short but surprisingly love my flat OTK boots. I also included sweaters and hostess gift ideas. I know this time of year there are a lot of holiday parties and it’s always fun to be the friend who shows up with a little gift for the host!
I also included all the codes you need to know for some of the best black Friday/weekend/ and cyber Monday deals! Keep Scrolling to check ’em out!
Hi guys! Can you believe it is already the week of Thanksgiving? I just look back at this year and can’t believe how fast it has flown by! This time of year is so much fun! Spending time with friends and family and enjoying good food – doesn’t get much better than that now does it?
I am going to be sharing some amazing Gift Guides with you all over the next few weeks – you can find them all under the HOLIDAY tab at the top of the site. I wanted to share a few more unique gift guides this year so I thought it would be fun to give my local babes something to follow and do a San Diego edition highlighting all of my favorite local brands and stores so you can shop small this holiday season!
Have you guys shopped the Sephora Insider sale yet? I tried to be good this year and only re-stock on the items I am running low on but it’s so hard to resist some of their new products! I wanted to share a roundup of some of my favorite go-to products from Sephora with you! The sale ends tonight 11/15 at 11:59 midnight MST so you still have time! Click HERE to shop!
IT Cosmetics CC cream – I have been using this stuff for the past year or so now and I absolutely love it. I can’t lie, I have switched to a full coverage foundation on some days but on the days I am trying to keep my makeup low key this is the stuff I reach for. It is actually considered a full coverage color-correcting cream so it does do a pretty good job in that area but I also love that it keeps you looking dewy, has SPF 50+ Sunscreen, and antiaging properties as well (can’t go wrong with that – amirite?!).
Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara – I have also been using this mascara for a while now and am still obsessed! I alternate between this and the L’Oreal Lash Paradise as I feel like that one is a good dupe for the Too Faced one, and half the price. This mascara really makes my eyelashes pop! I like to apply multiple coats though – that’s just me! It looks great with just a coat or two though if you want to keep it natural.
Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation stick – This is the full coverage foundation I mentioned above, and you guys – it’s SO good! At first I didn’t see what all the rage (or the price tag) was about. Then, I was chatting with a girlfriend and realized I just wasn’t applying enough. Once I went in with a little more product I totally got why people are obsessed with this stuff. It is the most full coverage foundation I think I’ve ever used personally which of course not everyone needs. Me? I need it right now because I am trying to cover up some melasma that came up while I was pregnant. This stuff does such a good job at covering it and keeping a little bit of the dewy look I like.
BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter – You guys have probably already read and heard so much about this product but it is my absolute favorite highlighter. I had originally bough the champagne pop color of this highlighter and that was my holy grail until I tried Opal after getting a sample with my points from Sephora. I love the color of this one on my skin. Honestly, I think it depends on your skin tone as far as which one is going to work best for you – if you are fair to medium you will probably love this one.
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder – I bought this stuff back in January and use it almost every single day. I only use a little bit so I am legit still using the one I bought in January. I like to use it under my eyes and all over my face on days I really want my makeup to stay. When I first got it I used way too much on the under eye area and it caused a crepey looking effect so be sure to tap your brush off before applying it to areas that you might have small lines/wrinkles.
Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm – I received this lippie a month or two back in collaboration with Dior and now I find myself reaching for it on the regular. I tend to alternate between this and the Dior Addict Lacquer Stick (I have shade ‘poisonous’). These are both super moisturizing and I love that the reviver balm is more of a sheer balm that is meant to bring out your lips natural color. I used to always love a bold lip but as I got older I kind of got away from it and couldn’t find colors that I felt really complimented my skin tone. Now I look for colors that are similar to my lip color and just work on enhancing what I already have going on.

Every once in a while you come across something that you know you must have in your closet! That is how I felt when I saw this jacket! I remember originally seeing it last fall but then every time I went to order it, it was sold out in my size! Major sad face. Fast forward to this year and it’s a part of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale – annnd they had my size. There was a little hunting involved as I had ordered it for pickup at my local Nordstrom and then after I already ordered it they cancelled my order because they no longer had it in store! Anyhow, long story short…I called and they actually DID have one left in my size and put it on hold for me (even though they aren’t supposed to during the sale!) and I rushed over there, baby in tow, and got myself the jacket. I love the embroidery detail and I’ve found it is the perfect way to jazz up some black skinnies and a t-shirt.
PS – looks like the jacket IS actually back ordered again but due to ship in August so if you order now you will get the sale price AND have it in time for fall. Win win!
I went the unexpected route and paired this luxe skirt with these Nike Cortez sneakers! I personally love the sneakers with dresses/skirts look but I know it’s not for everyone! But hey even if it isn’t for you at least you can be comfortable for a little while if you want to switch to sneakers in the city and then change back into heels when you reach your destination! Hope you are all having a fab Monday!
It’s that time of year again – The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! And for those of us who are Nordstrom cardholders (Credit OR Debit – I have the debit because it is just linked right to my debit card) get EARLY access to the sale items – and we all know how fast these can go! Not a Nordstrom Cardholder? Don’t worry, the sale opens up to everyone on July 20th! I snagged this jacket this weekend as a part of Early Access because last year it sold out every time I wanted to order it!
I took the time to sort through some of their sale items and have rounded up the best of the best for you. You can shop through the categories below!
